Windigo Ouftters is located nothwest of the city of La Tuque on Windigo River, near the St-Maurice River. In addition to being accesible by car, you can also get there by VIA Rail Canada train. Many of their clients leave the La Tuque train station on Friday at noon and arrive at the Windigo station barely three hours later where they are welcomed by the owners Martine & Daniel. Located 13 km from the Trans-Quebec snowmobile trail # 83, Windigo Outfitters is a well-know snowmobile relay. The rustic and confortable wooden log lodge can accommodate up to 30 snowmobilers at a time. Originally from Shawinigan, the couple had a cottage at Windigo several years and worked for the Windigo Outfitters in 1995. But it was in 2004, that they acquired the company.
