 The Pourvoirie du Montagnard is located on one of Mauricie's most percious gems: the Gouin Reservoir. Famous for its beautiful 4-start houseboats, the Pourvoirie du Montagnard Outfitter is a well established company since 1997. The owners, Louise & André are know for offering high quality service.

The houseboats are fully equipped and can accommodate from 4 to 10 people. They offer maximum safety, luxury and comfort. An interesting fact, the houseboats have been specially designed to accommodate guests with limited motor skills.

Located more speifically in the Chapman Bay, the outfitter offers high success Walleye and Pike fishing. It il located northwest of La Tuque between the Saguenay Lac Saint-Jean and Abitibi, approximately 7 to 8  hours from Montreal or Quebec. The outfitter is also accessible by float plane and even by Via Rail Canada.

The outfitter also has cottage to accomodate their guest and are located in a 100%  wooded area, allowing moose hunting, black bear, small game to practice their favorite sport at will. They also offer the chance to have packages or combined hunting and fishing for groups or 2,4,6  or more. Packages are in European plan bur possibility of having Americain plan upon request.

During your stay you can also enjoy a variety of summer activities such as swimming and nautical activities, or even the rental of a pontoon.

L'aventurier du Gouin outfitter is located on an island in the heart of the majestic Gouin Reservoir. In operation for 14 years the company has 7 employees. Its owners Genevieve Gingras and François Beaudoin place a high priority to customer service. Therefore, in addition to their experience as outfitters, they were trained in hotel management to better respond to the needs of their clientele.

The ourfitter also places high priority on quality. They offer accommodation in 4 stars log cottages accommodating from 2 to 8 people with their own bathroom. The cottages are dispersed on the territory offering complete tranquility. A beautiful log inn offering rustic ambiance is also available. The lodge is equipped with six bedrooms, a double sided fireplace, a dining room, a terrace extending the dining room and overlooking a beautiful view.

For companies desiring to offer their employees an opportunity to combine work and pleasure, the Aventurier du Gouin offers veru interesting corporate packages. Meeting rooms equipped with high speed Internet, TV,DVD and satellite telephone are available.

Specialised in quality but also diversity....A houseboat with a modern design and luxury for up to 6 people ! The houseboat house is equipped for navigation with sonar, GPS with integrated card. A memorable experience !

The outfitter offers packages in Americain or European or a plan tailored to your needs. They offer packages with or guided fishing for walleye and pike. You also have the chance to practice activites such as sea kayaking, hiking or just enjoy the sandy beaches for swimming and relaxation. Children under 18 stay free and pets are allowed in cottage. Enjoy a taste of local cuisine; sport fish and gourmet menu are served in the dining room of room of the Inn and seats 20 people. Interestingly, meal times are flexible and evening allowing fisermen to complete their fishing day stress free.

To get to the lodge, several options are available either direct transportation by floatplane, aboard the Via Rail train through the lakes and forest in combination with short floatplane ride from several Quebec towns and villages, or by forest road. Being located on an island, all packages include round trip transportation by boat taxi to its parking site.
